Delivering a presentation is a fundamental business skill for anyone in business. In most cases, merely delivering the message is insufficient; the presentation needs to get people to do something, to make a decision, to move forward. This Accelerator Group focuses on presentations that persuade listeners to take whatever action is appropriate for the situation.
Who Is This Group For?
This Group is really for anyone who has to create a persuasive presentation as part of thier job. This can include sales people,
marketing professionals, managers who need to get support for a project or budget request, project leaders, or anyone else who
needs to persuade others via presentation to take action or give approval.
What Is This Group Going to Do/Learn?
After completing this Accelerator Group, you will know how to develop a persuasive presentation, what material to include and exclude, and know the elements of effective presenting. At the conclusion of this Accelerator Group you will not only have created an effective, persuasive presentation, you will know how to do it again.

Outline
Session 1: What is a "Business Presentation" and Why Should I Care?
Understanding the role of a presentation in business; how they can impact the 'speed of doing business'; identify the basic elements of a business presentation.
Session 2: PerSuasive PreSentations Element #1: Context and Content
Persuasion starts with understanding the context within which a presentation takes place and how to create a persuasive environment. We also will discuss your content from a broad perspective.
Session 3: PerSuasive PreSentations Element #2: Your Audience
Understanding your audience and audience dynamics is a crucial element for your success. We will look at ways to dissect an audience, recognizing that although each attendee is important, they are not equally important.
Session 4: PerSuasive PreSentations Element #3: Structuring for PerSuasion
Using the elements above, we now look at the overall structure of a persuasive presentation.
Session 5: Designing Your Opening
How you begin or open your presentation has tremendous impact on everything else you do; in this session, we will cover what to do, what not to do, and how to do it.
Session 6: Designing Your Closing
If how you start sets the stage for what comes after, your ending sets the stage for how attendees act after you're done ... and that's where a residual persuasive impact means the most!
Session 7: Putting It All Together: The Presentation's Agenda
This session integrates all the pieces to develop a solid, persuasive presentation that drives action.
Session 8: Delivery Technique #1: Handling and Answering Questions
Dealing with audience questions is a paradox: most presenters fear it, yet feel more comfortable after you get some! We'll talk about the dynamics of getting, handling, and answering questions.
Session 9: Delivery Technique #2: "Managing the Audience" Tips
Handling questions is a subset of managing your overall interface with your audience; we will discuss how to connect with the audience, using eye contact and gestures, and more.
Session 10: Concluding Thoughts and Next Steps
This is a wrap-up of everything covered in the seminar, closing with specific action items for each attendee.
